Tomorrows lesson

Ok so i've managed to print off the blog entries as web-pages, unfortunately its shrunk them a little it & i dont know now to 'unshrink' them.

they're printed & in a plastic folder at the moment.

not entirely sure if i've done enough. i'll e working on visual recording primarily tonight
i have to do the 5 artists/imges/sculptures im interested in still. I think this blog my e counted as doing so but i wanna make sure so i'll e doing those at home tonight or after finishing & printing this blog.
i haven't chosen the 5 yet but i do remember that the can be on anything i like & without time restriction (like the 12 images had to be between 1850 & 1960) ^_^

there are so many inspirationl things & i plan on continuing with the blog over the summer & improving some of the entries (hopefully fiishing the rest of them off aswell haha)

anyway, i'm wasting preious time writing this, talk soon

trying to print the blogs off in college

sat at dropin pc14, every 5 mins blogspot is 'rescued/recovered' its the only tab  i have open & i9t refuse to stay open if i even click any buttons on screen! its becoming impossible to print off here, im gonna try a laptop after i;ve been to reprographcs & got a couple of things put onto acetate

urgh stupid computer/internet explorer!!!

  4 images (personal choice between the 4, Human form) between 1850 &1960
  4 images on anything
• blog posts (printed in colour)

in todays lesson we were adding another 'artist link' to our files (blog)
i decided to use the artist links mentioned in last weeks lesson & make individual blogs about the ones im interested in. & make 1 of those i wasn't interested in with reasons why ^_^

Artist - URBAN CANVAS

I've been walking through Rotherham for weeks now, walkin past a beautiful mural & always wondering who did such beautiful work & how i could find out who did it... i couldn't knock on the doors of the shops since they were vacant, it was by a mere chance of luck that i noticed further detail while walking by leisurely in the sun light... detail specifically of a person painting/vandalizing a wall then only to realize that the person was part of the piece, it had the name on the back of a high visibility jacket 'Urban Canvas',  i hadn't walked around 'High Street, Rotherham' near Primark in the day time for quite a while. so I'd never really noticed just how finely detailed they were, the face, the pigeons & of course the person. it's an incredibly innovative idea & appears to be working as a graffiti deterrent.I've noticed the daisies & street names & intricate floral patterns before but i honestly didn't put two & two together thinking it was a project funded by the council, I'm astounded at how creative & thoughtful Rotherham council have been to do this & make unused buildings such an attraction in a sense. I almost hope that no one takes over those buildings so the murals can stay in place :)

Concept:  the idea behind the piece appears to be as an anti vandalism measure taken by the council & a forward thinking way of doing it since ' leaving walls blank doesn't work  & putting up signs like this...

Design:  Original design created using references to local history following community consultation
